One Day In Amsterdam with the Canon G7X

“The best camera is the one that’s with you.” - Chase Jarvis

Documenting my own life is one of the major aspects why I started photography in the first place. Sometimes on film, sometimes with my Nikon workhorse, but this time with the tiny Canon G7X Mark II, a little point-and-shoot style camera which perfectly fits in my pocket.

June 2023, a sunny but chilly day in Amsterdam. We were actually there because of a comedy show in the evening, so we spent the whole day to explore the capital of the Netherlands. And it turned out great (not the show, but the whole day before). Flowers were blooming, people were out in the parks and tourists filled the streets and cafés.

So we started with lunch (unfortunately I have forgotten the spot) and headed to the old city with its pretty buildings and narrow streets. Boats cruised along the Grachten and everyone was enjoying life.

Here’s a short impression of my view of Amsterdam that day.
